Maryland Market Money 101
This website from the Maryland Farmers Market Association introduces new users to Maryland Market Money, a special currency that can be used at farmers markets by recipients of nutritional benefits. This is a great way to ensure that your funds benefit the local economy by making purchases directly from local farmers. They also provide a fantastic guide to federal nutrition programs.

Maryland Department of Human Services Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
This website provides details about the SNAP program (formerly known as food stamps) and how to apply. It has income guides, instructions for using SNAP benefits online, emergency allotment guides, and more. It also contains a link to apply to recieve SNAP benefits.

Maryland WIC
WIC is a federally funded program that provides access to healthy foods and nutrition counseling for adults with children. It has operated for over 40 years and serves 135,000 Marylanders each month.
